The ocean air is much cooler than temperatures on land, especially when the wind comes off the water as it does during the daily sea breeze when the weather is fair.

Dress in layers, with sweaters, jackets that break the wind, and a poncho or other rain gear if rain threatens. Wear sneakers, boat shoes, hiking shoes or other rubber-soled shoes. Bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunblock, and don't forget to bring a camera and binoculars to capture some of the beauty of our home port.
